Dear friends and readers,
With the news a while ago, that the Fall Event of the Netgamez LAN wasn't gonna be held, and the Netgamez staff aiming for a higer goal in the gaming scene, they seem to have cut themselves. The target was a bigger and broader event, for more gamers and entertainment lovers. This was by the looks on the Internet too far out for the staff and the business Netgamez B.V.
On the 25th of september 2007, The court in the Netherlands officially declared Netgamez B.V. bankrupt. This closes down a chapter which probably was one of the bigger LAN events in the Benelux, having a capacity from around 1500 gamers. I myself have attended this LAN one time, and have to say the organisation was well done. Never would i have thought it to end like this for Netgamez.
But never say never, and back then when those messages of a bigger event being organised got published, and the old format of Netgamez being canceled i got scared this would happen. The perfect excuse for covering up internal problems is a promise the future will be bigger and better, isn't it?
(ofcourse a bankruptcy can be a strategic move to startup some new concept of events, we should always keep this in mind, but lets keep it with this till we hear more news)
With this section of the gaming events being shut down, and Deathless having the ambition of attending more LAN's, we now have to look elsewhere to show that dominating skill... i mean classic friendliness we got in store for eachother.
This was kroz, for scene watching news,
kroz, signing out.
