Valve has released an update for Left 4 Dead which allows users to download and play custom campaigns.
Last month, the SDK mod tools were released, but with this new update, modders can package their maps into a single .vpk file, which users can install with a straightforward double-click.
Users can manage their add-ons and campaigns from within the game. Valve has also added matchmaking, leaderboards and auto-update/download support for custom maps.
